History:

The Lincoln Park Campus opened in 1972, from our original campus (affectionately known as the barn). A major renovation and expansion of the Lincoln Park Campus in 1989 almost doubled the building's original capacity. Our student residence complex (the College's Olympic legacy) also opened in 1989. In 1981, nine years after the move to Lincoln Park, Mount Royal College re-established its presence in the city core. A series of satellite downtown campuses culminated with the opening of the largest downtown campus, the City Centre Campus, in 1990. In 1999, Mount Royal College opened its third campus, the Centre for Complementary Health Education, on the site of the former Holy Cross Hospital. On September 3, 2009, Mount Royal College became Mount Royal University which now offers seven bachelor's degrees with 30 majors or concentrations approved by the Campus Alberta Quality Council.
