Canadian Bureau for International Education Launches Home Holidays

In celebration of its 50thyear, the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) is pleased to launch Home for the Holidays, a competition sponsored by Scotiabank that will award one international student the chance to go home over the holiday season by covering the cost of a roundtrip ticket to the student’s home country.

“Canadian schools do a wonderful job making international students feel welcome in their new Canadian environments. That being said, it is only natural that students would like to be around friends and family during the holiday season,” said Karen McBride, President and CEO of CBIE. “Our Home for the Holidays competition is one way that we can extend a hand and make a difference to one student. While this is the first year for this initiative, our hope is that we can evolve this over time to reach more international students.”
