History:

Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Technology is a public college in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. It also has campuses located in Brantford and Stoney Creek. Mohawk College was established in 1966. The school was founded as part of a provincial initiative to provide career-oriented diploma and certificate courses, as well as continuing education programs to Ontario communities.

Mohawk College has grown into one of the largest provincially funded colleges in the province. Each year averages approximately 10,000 full-time students, and 40,000 part-time students. The most popular programs continue to be in Engineering Technology and Business. Mohawk College also has a well known Nursing program, a joint program with McMaster University. Mohawk College Brantford campus Department of Public Safety and Security studies is well known and held in high regard for its Law Enforcement programs Police Foundations, Corrections, and Law and Security.
