Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the date and location of the conference? The conference will be celebrated Wednesday October 23, Thursday October 24, and Friday October 25, 2024. Conference events will be held on campus at CETYS University or on campus at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California campuses located in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico.
  2. Who is the target audience for the conference? Internationally engaged higher education experts and professionals.  This event attracts administrative staff from international offices, faculty members interested in international collaboration in person or online, and those interested in establishing connections with international institutions to initiate or deepen international collaboration in teaching, research and/or service initiatives.  These events are a great way to broaden your international network, so early career professionals and academics are encouraged to attend.
  3. What is the theme or focus of the conference? In response to feedback from our stakeholders, we are refocusing our conferences on networking.  Our conference program and activities have been entirely redesigned with this in mind.  Please plan to bring information to share since this event will permit a lot of interaction with other attendees and presenters.
  4. How can I register for the conference? Please refer to the conference “Registration” page using the link in the upper right corner of this page.  Pricing information and the link to the Whova registration system will be accessible through that page.  The registration system will be open starting at the beginning of August 2024.  Sponsors should submit all information needed to set up their section of the conference app before mid-July 2024.
  5. Are there any discounted rates for students, groups, or sponsors? There are discounts for delegations so we encourage you to bring those team members you view would benefit from expanding their international networks of contacts.  There are complimentary registrations available for Sponsors that increase by sponsorship level – please refer to the Sponsorship page.  Please refer to the registration page for all other registration pricing information.
  6. What accommodation options are available near the conference venue? There are several hotels that offer rooms for conference attendees. Please refer to the “Accommodations” page through the link at the top right hand side of this page to choose from among the conference hotels.  The hotels listed on that page will benefit from bus transportation in the mornings and at the end of each day’s activities.
  7. Will there be any transportation provided to and from the conference venue? Yes, CONAHEC will provide buses that will run from the hotels named on the Accommodations page to the venue, CETYS University in the morning before the beginning of the programmed activities and at the end of the day’s activities.  The distances are relatively short and taxi and Uber vehicles are available.
  8. Can I receive a refund if I need to cancel my registration? You can get a partial refund if you cancel your registration before the cut-off date. You can read more about the cancellation policy when you register using the Whova system, available through the “Registration” page linked above.
