María José Álvarez-Faedo is Area Director for North America and the Rest of World at the Vice-Rector's office for university Extension and International Development of the University of Oviedo (Spain). She held positions as Deputy Head of Department and Head of Department of English, French and German Studies at the University of Oviedo, and, prior to that he served there as Professor of 16th-and-17th-Century English Literature. Dr Alvarez-Faedo also spent 2 years at the University of Ulster (UK) where she worked as Spanish Language Assistant. Dr Álvarez-Faedo teaches in the areas of Medieval and Renaissance Literature and Drama, 18th-Century Literature, English drama and translation. And he has published widely, including five books and over thirty papers and reviews. She completed her B.A. Hons. at the University of Oviedo and then went on to earn a P.D. and M.A. at the
