History:

The Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH) is the most important educational institution of the largest state of the Mexican Republic, and considered one of the higher education institutions within the best ranked institutions nationwide with impact on 11 municipalities in the state. It was founded in December 8th, 1954, however, it started as the Scientific and Literary Institute of Chihuahua in 1835.

It consists of 15 schools (fields of study) with a variety of Undergraduate and Graduate studies. Undergraduate programs include fields in Health, Agricultural, and Engineering. Graduate programs include Agricultural, International Economy, Economic Administrative, Engineering, Health, Political Sciences, Law, and Education & Culture. Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua consists of 25,000 students. The city of Chihuahua has a population of 819,543 dwellers. It has a great variety of museums and theaters, entertainment and recreation cultural centers.
